Your Stress Load Score

Your Stress Load Score is 52. Your system is running warm and not fully switching off.

Most of your answers point to one thing: the body stays switched on. Your sleep is light, your mind keeps running, your days feel wired but tired. That is what lifts the number, and it is one of the most workable.

Your reading at a glance
Bottom line
Your number is lifted mostly by a body that stays switched on: light sleep, a mind that keeps running, energy that is wired but tired. All of it is workable, and the sooner you start, the faster it comes down.

Three free changes first. Then, if you want to see what is keeping the system switched on, a consultation.
01 · What your score means

A 52, read in plain English.

A score in this range means stress is building on more than one front and wearing the body down. Lower is calmer, so the goal is simple: bring the number down over the next few months.

The three answers that did the most to lift it:

On your sleep most nights
You answered"Broken. I lie awake with my mind on."
On what most days feel like
You answered"Tired but somehow still wired."
On switching your mind off at the end of the day
You answered"Hard. My thoughts keep running."

This reading is built only from your fourteen answers. It is a starting point, not a medical diagnosis, and it does not replace your own provider.

The Always-On Pattern
Common in busy 40s and 50s · The body stays in go-mode long after the day is done

Three of your answers line up into one pattern.

Your sleep is light, your mind will not quiet at night, your days feel wired but tired, and switching off is hard. These feed each other: when the body stays switched on, the stress hormones that should fall at night stay up, so sleep goes light, and poor sleep leaves the system on edge the next day. Round it goes.

None of this is unusual when life is full, and none of it is broken. A body that used to wind down on its own is just not dropping back to rest. Think of a car idling too high: it keeps revving in the driveway, burning fuel, never settling. What is missing is the drop back to idle.

Signs the system downshifts

  • You fall asleep easily and stay asleep
  • The mind quiets within a few minutes of lying down
  • Energy feels calm, not jittery
  • A busy day settles by the evening

Signs it stays switched on

  • Light sleep, or waking with the mind already running
  • Tired through the day, yet wired at night
  • Hard to switch off, even when there is time
  • Tension that sits in the shoulders, neck, or jaw
02 · Three free things to bring it down
At home · free · start this week

Three changes you can start this Monday.

These come first because they are free. Each one is matched to what is lifting your score: light sleep, a mind that will not quiet, and the wired-but-tired feeling. None need a prescription, a supplement, or a clinic visit.

01

Set a hard wind-down time, one hour before bed.

Same time each night. Dim the lights, put the phone down, do something slow. It gives the body the signal it is missing: the day is over, safe to downshift. Give it ten days.
For light sleep and a racing mind
02

Two minutes of slow breathing, twice a day.

Breathe in for four counts, out for six. A longer exhale is the fastest way to switch on the calm side of the nervous system. Once mid-afternoon and once before bed trains the body to settle.
For the wired-but-tired feeling
03

Get daylight outside within an hour of waking.

Ten minutes is plenty. Morning light sets the body's daily clock, so the stress-hormone rhythm rises in the morning and falls at night, the way it should. It is the cheapest lever you have on sleep and steady energy.
For sleep and steady energy

Two to three weeks tells you a lot. The check below shows whether they did their job, or whether a closer look is what brings the number down.

After two weeks of doing these consistently

Signs the changes are working

  • You fall asleep faster and wake less in the night
  • The mind is quieter when your head hits the pillow
  • Energy feels steadier and less jittery
  • Evenings feel calmer, easier to switch off

Signs the changes are not enough

  • Sleep is still light despite the new routine
  • The mind keeps running once you lie down
  • Still wired at night, still tired by day
  • Two weeks in, nothing has really shifted

If the left column is true, you have your answer at home. If the right column is true, something underneath needs testing to settle it. That is what the consultation is for.

03 · A story like yours

How someone with a 52 brought it down.

The starting point. A woman in her late forties came in with almost the same reading: a full life, holding it together, but sleeping lightly, wired at night, and never quite able to switch off.

First, the free steps. She started with the three changes in section 02. Within two weeks she was falling asleep faster and waking less.

Then, what the steps could not reach. The wired-but-tired feeling did not fully lift, so she booked a consultation. Simple testing showed two things a standard checkup had missed: her stress-hormone rhythm was running high into the evening, and her thyroid had drifted.

The plan that followed. The provider kept the free steps, brought the stress-hormone rhythm and thyroid back toward a healthy pattern, and added targeted support for sleep. Over the next few months her sleep deepened, the wired feeling settled, and her number came down out of the elevated range.

The free steps did real work on their own. The testing showed the part she could not see by feel.

04 · If you want to look deeper

The tools that fit a pattern like yours.

Longevity Health is physician-led and root-cause first. The work starts by seeing what is keeping the system switched on, then a physician decides what, if anything, fits you. None of it starts from a quiz.

The one workup that reads what is keeping you switched on
The Longevity stress-hormone & thyroid workup

One focused workup, read by a physician. It maps your daily stress-hormone rhythm (how cortisol rises and falls across the day), your thyroid, and the markers tied to sleep and steady energy, then turns them into a plan.

For sleep & recovery

Your evening cortisol and melatonin rhythm plus your thyroid markers (Free T3 and Free T4), the regulators that decide whether a night restores you.

Why it fits your resultYour light, broken sleep is exactly what these markers explain, and they are the ones a standard check leaves out.
For energy & drive

Your morning cortisol and thyroid, plus the hormones that set steady, calm energy instead of the wired-but-tired swing you described.

Why it fits your resultEnergy without calm usually lives here, the part most closely tied to feeling like yourself again.
For mind & body tension

The shape of your cortisol rhythm across the day, the clearest read on a nervous system that stays switched on.

Why it fits your resultA mind that keeps running and tension that sits in the body trace back to this rhythm, not to any single reading.
Clarity
The workup and your physician's plan, once, so you know exactly what is keeping the system switched on.
Reset
Test, adjust, and retest over a few months: gentle hormone and thyroid support plus targeted help for sleep, so you watch the number come down.
Concierge
The most thorough, fully guided option, with your physician alongside you the whole way.
None of these start from a quiz. The next step is a consultation. A physician looks at your answers, runs only the tests that make sense, and decides what, if anything, fits you. Plenty of people leave with just the free plan.
A note from your physician

Laura, a result like yours is one of the more workable ones we see. Nothing here is broken. Your system is simply running warm and not dropping back to rest, and that can be brought down. Start with the three changes above this week; they cost nothing and you do not need us to begin. If you want to know exactly what is keeping the system switched on, that is what the consultation is for. No pressure either way.

"We look for the root cause, not just the number on a chart. Real health is built over time, not handed out in a single visit."
